About the Role
iCapital is looking for a committed Tax Compliance Analyst to become an integral part of our dynamic Fund Tax team. This role entails providing essential support through various administrative tasks associated with federal and state tax reporting and filing for a wide array of structured funds. The position presents a valuable opportunity to develop project management skills, acquire fundamental knowledge of federal and state taxation for structured funds, and play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and precision of our tax compliance operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the internal Tax team in managing various tax-related correspondence from federal, state, local, and international sources.
- Sort, scan, and log tax notices accurately and timely, ensuring all relevant information is captured and stored in our database.
- Coordinate tax documentation between various providers.
- Track and retrieve tax estimates, K-1s, State K1s, PFICs, and all tax documents for third-party preparers.
- Create and maintain investment portal access for portfolio investments across multiple funds.
- Manage mail, including return mail, creation and printing of mailing labels, and preparation of USPS certified mail receipts for tax-related correspondence, following postal regulations and standards.
- Coordinate closely with fund finance teams to streamline the payment process, ensuring efficiency and compliance with financial regulations, and submit tax payments timely and accurately through both payment checks and/or online portals.
- Monitor tax email distribution lists and email boxes to ensure timely responses to inquiries.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve operational efficiency within the Tax Compliance team.
- Assist in the preparation and review of tax compliance reports and documentation.

- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong Excel skills
- Comfortable learning new systems and technology
- Willing to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
- Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture

Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
