About the Role

iCapital is looking to hire an Associate or Assistant Vice President to join the new Alternatives in Retirement Portfolios business team.  The team is not here to tweak the edges of retirement investing, we are here to reinvent it. Join iCapital’s entrepreneurial team building a bold new path for retirement portfolios, where innovation drives progress and legacy approaches are reimagined.

The industry-wide focus on adding alternative and private market asset classes to defined contribution plans, leads iCapital to build a leadership position in this emerging space, and is launching an agile, entrepreneurial effort to quickly scale across both the product and distribution facets of the industry.  The initial team will be laser-focused on launching new products and vehicles for DC plans, establishing and expanding relationships with existing clients, and establishing a foothold and market presence in new markets for the firm.

This individual will report to the Head of the Alternatives in Retirement Portfolios team and will support the distribution and client-facing efforts of the team with data-driven insights and materials. As part of a small, agile, entrepreneurial effort, the role will be flexible and market-responsive and will help drive strategy and tactics with a deep understanding of the mechanics of the retirement industry infrastructure and data.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Alternatives in Retirement Portfolios opportunity and how iCapital can serve those markets.
  • Analyze industry, market, and sales data to identify trends, opportunities and areas of focus.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs, pipeline health, and sales performance.
  • Support sales forecasting and territory planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Marketing, Field Sales, and Finance teams to develop regional, channel and advisor specific segmentation and coverage models, to streamline sales processes and improve alignment.
  • Design and implement robust reporting and analytics tools using Tableau, Salesforce, and Excel to support client needs and Sales & Marketing initiatives; automate recurring processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work, and maintain comprehensive documentation for dashboards, tools, and data sources.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing and Learning teams to develop and expand a catalog of materials for use in client and prospect meetings, covering market trends and analysis as well as product-specific materials.
  • Organize and examine large pools of data to provide actionable insights in support of the business
  • Collaborate with Fund Operations, Portfolio Management, and Due Diligence teams to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure seamless execution
  • Produce management decks in support of iCapital’s distribution relationship.
  • Coordinate and drive competitor analysis to provide strategic recommendations regarding product positioning.
  • Collaborate with iCapital’s distribution teams to identify and pursue opportunities to establish thought leadership in the broader retirement industry, as well as the more specific alternatives and private markets in retirement portfolios channel, through conferences, trade associations and publications and innovative content delivery.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, data science, or a related field
  • 2-6+ years of relevant work experience in business analysis or sales support for a DC asset manager or Rker (Record Keeper) or a similar role
  • Experience with a defined contribution record keeper is preferred
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Familiar with DC landscape and data sources (BrightScope, DoL, ICI, etc.)
  • Previous membership or participation in industry trade groups such as DCIIA, NAPA, SPARK or DCALTA
  • Series 7 license is preferred
  • Progress toward other industry-relevant designations, such as CAIA are also preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of revenue operations and GTM strategy

 

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $160,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
