
Fund Monitoring - Vice President
About the Role
iCapital is looking to hire a Vice President to join the Fund Monitoring team. This role is responsible for overseeing the monitoring and analysis of feeder and underlying fund performance across iCapital’s private market offerings, including private equity, private credit, and real assets. The individual will deliver investment updates to internal and external stakeholders, engage directly with fund managers, and support other initiatives such as secondary sales and investment oversight decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead monitoring and analysis of underlying fund performance across iCapital’s private equity, private credit, and real asset offerings.
- Prepare and deliver clear, executive-level call summaries, investment updates, and talking points for internal and client-facing stakeholders.
- Keep track of broader macro developments and trends through regular engagement with iCapital’s fund managers.
- Represent iCapital at Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and other conferences.
- Act as subject matter expert on fund portfolio and performance for internal and external audiences.
- Prepare performance analytics and fund-level financial modeling.
- Partner closely with the Governance team to support initiatives such as secondary sales and investment oversight decisions.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on analysis, communication, and professional development as the function scales.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience within private markets, investment banking, asset management, or investment consulting
- Progress toward or completion of CFA or CAIA is preferred
- Experience in financial analysis and modeling
- Excel proficiency is required and familiarity with valuation methodologies (DCF, peer comps, etc.) is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex investment data into concise, client-ready materials
- Deep interest in and working knowledge of alternative investments
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Willingness and able to travel up to 15% as required
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $195,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
