Distributed Ledger Technology Product Manager - Assistant Vice President / Vice President

About The Role 

iCapital is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to help oversee the development of our Distributed Ledger Technology platform. This individual will work within a team-oriented environment composed of dedicated professionals in a results-driven culture. This role offers opportunities for career growth and oversight of teams, projects, and departments. The selected candidate will address complex industry problems related to various Alternative Investment data workflows. 

In collaboration with the Head of the Distributed Ledger Product this role aims to achieve scale and efficiency across diverse business processes and strategic initiatives firmwide. The position provides the opportunity to employ the latest technologies and innovative solutions. Responsibilities include leading and delivering industry solutions, overseeing data models, data validation, and data integrations, as well as identifying unmet needs, defining requirements, writing user stories, developing project communication plans, and testing implementations. The team operates through agile methodologies, with fast deployment and iterative improvements being core principles. We value collaboration and a multi-disciplinary approach in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead product efforts for new business initiatives from ideation through phases of delivery and timely execution. 
  • Develop the strategic roadmap and lead the direction of the product data models and APIs in partnership with stakeholders. 
  • Present, communicate, and work directly with executive management as needed and provide status updates on critical strategic implementations. 
  • Resolve issues and concerns regarding resource allocation and work with stakeholders to manage expectations and set priorities. 
  • Mentor the team by coaching and leading by example in all aspects of development, whether building relationships or project execution. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of business impacts and manage concurrent requests and requirements. 
  • Manage client integrations and oversee team execution to ensure flawless implementation. 
  • Work with engineering leads to ensure the performance of APIs and connectivity with clients meets high standards throughout the product lifecycle. 
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape from business, legal, and compliance perspectives. 
  • Contribute to the team and overall company mission beyond the product realm when appropriate. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 6-10+ years of experience in Product Management in a fast-paced, agile environment. 
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and communication skills are required. 
  • Finance/Fintech experience is preferred, especially in Alternative Investments. 
  • Proven track record of managing technical teams and strategic initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated influence in partnerships with colleagues, teams, and clients. 
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with executive management for ideas and resolutions. 
  • Strong technical background and understanding; ability to design and implement strategic API functionalities at scale. 
  • Natural problem solver driven to push initiatives to conclusions. 
  • Critical thinker comfortable with the unknown. 
  • Willingness to dig deep, analyze, and understand how things work. 
  • Data analysis experience required, with an emphasis on SQL and developing API integrations. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills capable of building relationships to gain buy-in and achieve business results. 
  • History of customer-centric focus with quick and thoughtful problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience in data engineering and quantitative science is preferred, but not required. 

 

 

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $200,000 depending on level  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
