Mid-Senior Level Real Estate Associate- Columbus or Indianapolis

Ice Miller seeks a mid to senior level associate to join our Real Estate practice group in Indianapolis or Columbus.  Ideal candidates will have three (3) to six (6) years of experience.

About the Role:

This role will represent developers, investors, lenders, and corporate clients in complex real estate transactions. The position offers the opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized team on matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Ideal candidates will bring strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle transactions independently.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and related real estate documents
• Manage complex real estate transactions from term sheet through closing
• Conduct and analyze due diligence, including title and survey review
• Support clients in real estate finance, development projects, and joint ventures

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• At least  three (3) years of experience practicing law in a law firm and in-house environment
• Active law license in Indiana or Ohio 
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills and business judgement
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
