Litigation Attorney (1500 hours)-Indianapolis
Ice Miller seeks a litigation attorney to join our litigation practice group in Indianapolis. Ideal candidates will have at least three (3) years of experience, have strong litigation skills including independently drafting, managing, and responding to discovery, drafting pleadings, conducting research and analyzing cases, constructing and responding to legal arguments, preparing for depositions and taking/defending depositions.
About the Role:
Ice Miller is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 3 years’ of litigation experience to join our Indianapolis office and become part of a team that represents clients in a variety of litigation matters around the country. Candidates must have excellent legal research and writing skills, strong oral communication skills, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong law school credentials and references. This is a non-partnership track position that presents significant flexibility in terms of billable hours.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with clients, participate in case strategy discussions, and be responsible for executing litigation strategy
- Collaborate with talented and team-oriented attorneys across offices
- Independently manage various stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, handling discovery, preparing for and taking depositions, and conducting legal research
- Participate in training opportunities and mentoring
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- At least 3 years of experience practicing law in a law firm and in-house environment
- Active law license in Indiana
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and business judgement
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
