Associate, Data & Analytics Engineer
We are seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer to contribute to our Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and emerging AI/ML solutions. This role sits on the Data & Business Intelligence team, will report to the Head of Data and partner with stakeholders across ICONIQ to deliver insights and data-powered products. You will play a hands-on role in developing analytics pipelines, ML-enriched insights, and BI dashboards to drive strategic decision-making.
What You'll Do:
- Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, optimize business processes, and support strategic planning. Standardize KPIs and workflows in partnership with stakeholders across the firm.
- Build, develop, and maintain reliable data pipelines and analytical models using SQL and Python. Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Contribute to the development of AI/ML solutions, including LLMs, NLP, and GenAI tools that enhance internal products and workflows. Support prototyping and integration of emerging technologies.
- Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and self-service tools using platforms like Tableau or Looker. Translate complex data into intuitive, actionable insights for business users.
- Drive execution of key data initiatives, managing project timelines, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related technical field
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience developing data pipelines and analytical models
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and strong data visualization skills
- Exposure to AI/ML or Generative AI technologies, with an interest in experimentation and prototyping
- Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with technical and business teams
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive projects to completion
- Excellent academic background and strong cognitive ability.
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to diplomatically navigate complex situations.
Location: Applicants are expected to work onsite in our San Francisco office in accordance with our hybrid working policy.
Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000.00- $150,000.00 together with the benefits listed above.
