What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary advisor to high-net-worth and institutional clients, delivering tailored wealth management strategies and acting as the main point of contact.
  • Monitor client portfolio and investment performance, ensuring accurate reporting and strategic alignment with client objectives and market conditions.
  • Exercise a deep understanding of portfolio construction, asset classes, investment products, macroeconomics, client customizations, and professional communication.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to address estate planning, wealth transfer, and tax optimization needs.
  • Maintain relationships with trust & estate attorneys, collaborating to develop, structure, and execute comprehensive estate plans that align with client goals and effectively communicating strategies to clients.
  • Oversee CPA relationships to ensure timely information sharing, proactive tax planning, and seamless financial reporting while identifying strategic planning opportunities.
  • Co-Lead an Investment Management coverage team by providing strategic direction, managerial oversight, and driving operational excellence in client service.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and fiduciary responsibilities by adhering to industry regulations, best practices, and safeguarding client interests.
  • Maintain high-touch client service through proactive communication, delivering insights on market trends, portfolio performance, and financial planning opportunities.

 

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or investment consulting, with a strong track record in client relationship management and financial strategy.
  • Proven leadership with a track record of managing high-performing advisory teams, driving revenue growth, and deepening client relationships through strategic development.
  • Comprehensive investment management and risk oversight, overseeing complex portfolios, guiding investment decisions, and implementing asset allocation strategies across diverse financial products to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Expertise in estate planning, financial strategy, and client relationship management, specializing in wealth transfer, tax optimization, and regulatory compliance while fostering deep, long-term client partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices, ensuring ethical and legal adherence in all financial advisory engagements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance at the senior leadership level.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance long-term planning with proactive problem-solving in fast-paced, complex financial environments.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious, with a passion for financial advisory and investment management.
  • Series 65 License (or Series 66 & Series 7 License).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree, CFP, CFA, or CPA preferred).

Location: Applicants are expected to work onsite in our New York City office in accordance with our hybrid working policy.

 

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $200,000 - $350,000 together with the benefits listed above.
