Role Summary
The Relationship Manager (RM) serves as the primary client relationship owner and the face of the bank for assigned clients. The role is responsible for growing and deepening client relationships by delivering integrated banking solutions, proactively identifying opportunities, and ensuring strong execution across the client lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue high-potential prospects aligned with the bank’s target segments and growth priorities
- Proactively originate new client relationships through warm leads, outbound efforts, referrals, and targeted market engagement
- Assume primary relationship ownership and accountability for the client experience across the relationship lifecycle
- Translate client strategy and operating needs into actionable banking solutions by coordinating product and coverage partners
- Develop and execute comprehensive client account plans with a forward-looking view of growth, renewals, and deepening opportunities
- Assess existing portfolios to identify cross-sell and deepening opportunities across loans, deposits, and treasury solutions
- Identify client lifecycle events (e.g., growth initiatives, acquisitions, refinancing needs) that may create new banking opportunities
- Lead all client-facing, non-administrative aspects of credit renewals and modifications, including deal structuring, pricing, and negotiation
- Quarterback internal deal teams to drive disciplined execution and timely delivery across approvals, documentation, and closing
Qualifications Required
- Strong client relationship management and stewardship skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor
- Proven account planning and opportunity identification capabilities with a bank-wide perspective
- End-to-end deal quarterbacking and execution leadership skills
- Ability to assess client needs and position integrated banking solutions
- Strong commercial judgment and risk awareness, balancing growth objectives with credit discipline
- Clear communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate internal and external stakeholders
Compensation
The expected annual salary for this position is between $160,000 and $220,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
