Senior Strategic Vendor Manager Role Overview:
The Senior Strategic Vendor Manager will play a key role in the Procurement and Vendor Management function at ID.me. This will include managing third-party spend required to deliver ID.me’s products with a goal of continually improving gross margin, increasing pass rates, increasing customer and member value, and minimizing fraud. While the team provides support across the organization, the primary focus is to manage ID.me’s critical technical vendors including Product, Engineering, Fraud and Security.
Critical vendor technology solutions we work with includes, but isn’t limited to, document verification, facial recognition, liveness, telecom verification, financial records checks, geolocation, cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Manage Ongoing Partnerships
- Define KPIs for each vendor category to manage performance and cost.
- Serve as the go-to resource for current vendor performance across all dimensions (e.g., product performance, spend with vendor, SME on capabilities, etc.)
- Stay ahead of vendor product roadmap and ensure vendors are aligned with ID.me’s needs going forward
- Overall expert ability to manage tech partnerships
- Evaluate New Technology Partnerships
- Negotiation and contracting expertise to achieve best outcome for ID.me
- Provide in depth analysis on vendor comparison across all relevant factors (feature value to business, strategic alignment, time to integrate, pricing, company health, etc.)
- Ability to forecast, build pricing models, and strong FP&A skills to build and assess business cases for new vendor integrations
- Partner with product & engineering teams to test new vendors, coordinate into roadmap, and bring new partnerships to market
- Contribute to Product strategy
- Deep knowledge of competitive landscape, product categories, and vendors in identity domain
- Understanding market emerging trends and help ID.me stay ahead
- Advance product strategy & roadmap through recommendations for new partners
Who We’re Looking For
- Domain knowledge: Demonstrated experience with our core product technology solutions as well as typical SaaS company vendors.
- Strong strategic, business, & financial acumen: Applies the right financial, customer and product metrics. Ability to dive into the details to understand business implications and drive alignment and execution across business stakeholders.
- Leadership and influencer: Earns trust and maintains confidence across teams at ID.me. Establishes collaborative working relationships. Able to manage directly and through influence.
- Urgency: Bias for action. Accomplishes goals, beats deadlines, and proactively addresses issues before they become widespread.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record of identifying, negotiating, and managing large third-party vendor partnerships (>$30M annual third-party spend preferred).
- A broad base of technical procurement/vendor management expertise including Product, Engineering, Fraud and Security.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement and vendor management, with consulting, strategy, product management, or program management roles to complement this experience.
- Exceptional leadership skills and experience navigating and influencing in a matrixed organization without direct authority.
- Demonstrated success working in an agile environment on multiple projects.
- Experience in the fraud, identity, or financial services industries, or relevant applicable experience.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.

U.S. Pay Range
$145,000 - $195,000 USD
Mountain View, CA Pay Range
$160,000 - $210,000 USD
