The Manager, People Operations at ID.me will be responsible for leading and managing the People Operations team in delivering exceptional service and driving process excellence. Reporting to the VP, Total Rewards and People Operations, this role will oversee HR service delivery, ensure compliance, enhance the employee experience, and provide the infrastructure needed to scale as ID.me continues to grow.. This leader will work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Legal, Finance, Accounting, and IT, to ensure that People Operations aligns with the company’s overall strategic goals and remains legally compliant.
The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with a passion for operational excellence, employee support, and continuous improvement and will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and enhancing organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
HR Service Delivery & Process Optimization
- Oversee the People Operations team to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality support for all employee inquiries. Managing the intake, tracking, and resolution of HR requests, ensuring SLA adherence.
- Continuously assess and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
- Partner with the HRIS team to streamline and automate HR workflows and processes.
Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain HR policies, ensuring they are up to date and aligned with legal requirements and best practices.
- Lead HR’s response to internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and processes are audit-ready.
Employee Relations & Accommodation Support
- Partner with the Employee Relations team to provide operational support on investigations and issue resolution.
- Support the Benefits team with the management of leave of absence (LOA) and ADA accommodation requests, ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience.
Immigration Program Management
- Manage the company’s fledgling immigration program, acting as the primary point of contact for employees and stakeholders regarding immigration-related matters.
- Collaborate with legal partners to ensure compliance with immigration laws and requirements, and establish best practice policies and practices.
Team Leadership & Program Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two People Operations Specialists, fostering a high-performing and engaged team.
- Strategize, plan, and execute against the current needs within People Ops and plan for evolving processes as we scale.
- Drive project management for HR Operations initiatives, ensuring successful execution of day-to-day responsibilities and special projects.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of People Operations experience, including experience managing HR service delivery, compliance, and process optimization.
- 2+ years of leadership experience, with a proven ability to develop and manage high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, audit processes, and employment laws.
- Experience developing and managing immigration programs is a plus.
- Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS) and experience driving automation and workflow improvements.
- Strong project management capabilities, with a history of successfully driving cross-functional initiatives to completion while identifying areas for automation along the way.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a culture focused on employee experience and delivering a high level of service.
The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.

$143,000 - $153,000 USD
Mountain View, CA Pay Range
$150,000 - $190,000 USD
