Senior Designer – Design Systems
Location: Mountain View, CA, required 5 days/week in office

Role Overview
The Senior Designer plays a key role in bridging creativity and systems thinking, shaping how design systems are applied across web, product, and marketing experiences.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with other designers, UX partners, and product teams to bring ideas to life, translating concepts into cohesive, user-centered designs that feel consistent across touchpoints. You’re comfortable moving fluidly between early exploration and detailed execution, balancing speed with craft, and maintaining an eye for both structure and storytelling through the thoughtful application of design systems.
A strong sense of UI motion and interaction design is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Craft & Execution
- Conceptualize and design creative solutions that bring clarity, cohesion, and visual impact across web, product, and marketing experiences.
- Work from concept to delivery with a systems mindset, applying and expanding the frameworks of the existing design system to ensure scalability and consistency.
- Use interaction, and storytelling to elevate the quality and personality of digital experiences.
- Adapt visual direction across multiple touchpoints, balancing brand integrity with usability and performance.
- Set the standard for design quality, inspiring peers through strong execution and creative problem-solving.
Design Systems & Consistency
- Apply and evolve design system components and visual frameworks to maintain consistency and scalability across all touchpoints.
- Identify gaps or opportunities for improvement within the system and help define patterns that support product and brand growth.
- Support documentation and guidelines that enable broader adoption and alignment across design and development, with a strong understanding of variables, variants, and styles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with product, UX, and marketing teams to translate creative direction into practical, user-centered solutions.
- Communicate design intent effectively through visuals, prototypes, and storytelling that align teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to a collaborative design culture by participating in reviews, sharing insights, and providing constructive feedback.
- Lead through influence — fostering alignment, elevating work quality, and helping peers think through design challenges with clarity.
Design Quality & Process Improvement
- Help identify and refine design processes that improve efficiency, clarity, and collaboration within the broader design organization.
- Advocate for design excellence through consistency, accessibility, and attention to detail across all deliverables.
- Partner with other designers to uphold and evolve visual standards, mentoring peers and encouraging executional excellence across the team.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to adapt visual direction and design language across multiple touchpoints, including web, product, marketing, and brand experiences. (Bonus point if you have agency experience).
- Strong foundation in visual design principles. Composition, layout, typography, color, and hierarchy, with ability to apply them with both creativity and consistency.
- Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Comfortable using motion tools such as After Effects and prototyping.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in design, UX, product, and marketing.

The annual base salary listed does not include a company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity and benefits which will be determined based on experience, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location and role.

The above represents the anticipated total rewards package for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on qualifications, professional experiences, skills, education, relevant training, geographic location, and other job related factors.
Mountain View, CA Pay Range
$200,000 - $250,000 USD
ID.me is a full-time, in-office culture.
