
Associate Director, Inorganic Growth

The Role
Inorganic Growth individual will play a critical support role in executing IEQ Capital’s strategic advisor acquisition initiatives. Working closely with the Head of Inorganic Growth and cross-functional teams, this individual will provide high-quality operational, analytical, and relationship management support across all stages of the recruiting and onboarding lifecycle. This role is designed for a detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful individual seeking to develop foundational skills in strategic growth within a leading wealth management platform.
The responsibilities include:
Pipeline Support & CRM Management
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all advisor prospects in Salesforce.
- Input meeting notes, update prospect statuses, and track next steps to ensure a clean and actionable pipeline.
- Assist in generating weekly/monthly reports on pipeline status and key KPIs for senior leadership.
Market Research & Prospect Profiling
- Conduct research on target markets, advisory firms, and individual financial advisor teams to support sourcing strategies.
- Create and maintain advisor and firm profiles, including assets under management, client base characteristics, and potential strategic fit with IEQ.
- Monitor industry news and deal activity to identify emerging acquisition opportunities.
Meeting Preparation & Follow-up
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings, including home office visits (VIP days) and due diligence sessions.
- Prepare briefing materials and background summaries for leadership ahead of key prospect engagements.
- Document meeting outcomes, circulate follow-ups, and ensure timely execution of action items.
Content Development, Executive Reporting & Presentation Support
- Support the creation and refinement of PowerPoint materials for advisor pitches, deal presentations, and internal updates in collaboration with the Head of Inorganic Growth.
- Assist in developing accurate, well-structured reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Compile and format KPIs related to recruiting efforts (e.g., pipeline velocity, conversion rates) to support strategic reporting and data-driven decisions.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Support integration planning by liaising with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and HR to track onboarding requirements.
- Maintain checklists and project plans to ensure seamless preparation for incoming advisor teams.
Recruiter & Channel Partner Support
- Help maintain and update records of third-party recruiter interactions, submitted candidates, and follow-up timelines.
- Track recruiter effectiveness and assist in preparing feedback reports.
Process Documentation & Operational Improvements
- Assist in maintaining the firm's inorganic growth playbook, onboarding checklists, and diligence templates.
- Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve team workflow and scalability.
- Help implement and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core team activities.
Administrative & General Support
- Help manage timelines and project deliverables across multiple active recruiting efforts.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and special projects as requested to ensure the team’s operational success.
Key Skills & Attributes
- 5+ years of wealth management experience or directly related industry experience
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or equivalent CRM systems).
- Analytical mindset with curiosity about the wealth management industry.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Bachelor’s degree is required
Compensation
The total compensation range for this role, inclusive of base salary and bonus, is $135,000-$175,000, depending on skills and experience.
