Senior Digital Merchandiser
Job Summary:
The Senior Digital Merchandiser will develop and manage the execution of the online merchandising strategy for a multi-billion dollar international B2C eCommerce retailer. Drive profitable sales growth, focusing on optimizing the customer experience and driving conversions. Experience with Bloomreach Discovery or similar third-party tools to manage and analyze site performance
Job Expectations:
- Developing and Implementing Merchandising Strategies:
- Develop and test strategies to showcase products to encourage customer engagement and purchases
- This includes creating plans for geographies (country/region), seasonal campaigns, product launches, and overall site navigation and content to ensure a seamless and engaging customer experience
- Optimizing Product Presentation:
- Responsible for how products are displayed on the website, including visual merchandising with collaboration on product categorization and navigation hierarchy.
- Ensuring the rules, metrics and algorithms used to determine display rankings is optimized to drive both financial metrics (sales, margin, conversion) and strategic goals (key brands, growth categories, etc).
- Testing and Optimization:
- Analyze website traffic, customer behavior, and sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize the site merchandising strategy
- Conducting A/B testing to gain insights and improve conversion rates
- Budgeting and Planning:
- Monitoring budgets and planning coordination with merchandising and marketing initiatives.
- Analyzing Customer Behavior and Data:
- Use analytics to monitor traffic, customer behavior, sales trends, and feedback to gain insights and make data-driven decisions with the Merchandising, Marketing and Product teams.
- Improving Customer Experience:
- Collaboration with Product and Marketing to optimize site search, collection filtration, and implementing personalization efforts based on customer segments.
- Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work with Merchandising, Marketing, Product, and Technology teams to ensure successful execution of merchandising plans.
- In particular, serve as the liaison between Merchandising and Product on the scoping, development and testing of key site features (e.g., building or improving bundles, taxonomy, filters, etc).
- Collaborate with the Content team to ensure products are categorized and organized within the taxonomy in a way that makes it easy for customers to find what they're looking for. With Content, optimize product descriptions, images, and other content to provide customers with the information they need to make informed decisions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
- 5+ years demonstrated experience managing a cross-functional role with high impact
- 5+ years of experience in consumer-focused e-commerce environment, preferably including US and international experience
- Experience with Bloomreach Discovery or similar third-party systems to manage and analyze site performance
- Strong customer obsession focused on building the right site experience for our customer
- Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable making data-driven decisions
- Ability to set clear team objectives and performance measures
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary
- Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Equipment Knowledge:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of (5) five years of progressive experience in a directly related role with equivalent responsibilities, preferably in an e-commerce environment with natural products and international experience a plus.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc. iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
