About the role: 

The Junior Producer is the executional role, helping make content plans come to life across a range of creators - focusing on Digital, Social, and OLV production. The Junior Producer connects business need, the social calendar, and content creators to ensure the right work is done in the right place, resulting in world-class assets, and efficiencies that come from having a view into broad organizational requirements. The ideal candidate has worked across all media types - video, photography, animation, live-action events – and is adept at identifying and organizing the diverse partners required to successfully capture excellent “social-first” content.  

Our ideal candidate is great with creative and account teams alike and is hardworking, proactive problem-solving, negotiation skills, and passionate about creative production. They enjoy working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team and have a proven track record of producing multiple, complex projects. They have meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and understand the importance of maintaining a courteous, positive and high-energy attitude along the way. The ideal candidate takes responsibility for every aspect of delivering successful assets, from pre-production planning through to final content, demonstrating the highest standard of accountability and ethics in business dealings with service providers. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Produce and manage a variety of content creator photography and video shoots  
  • Work with Business affairs to ensure projects are properly contracted and licensed 
  • Manage video shoots and photo shoots (digital and social) with and without talent both in our studio, on-location, and remotely 
  • Manage post-production process for motion and stills 
  • Work with teams to discuss project briefs and advise on best production approach to reach their goals 
  • Guide creative team to deliver concepts that are logistically and financially doable  
  • Create and manage content creator production schedules, budgets and timelines 
  • Have an understanding of union (SAG) and non-union talent best practices 
  • Coordinate with all external production vendors and internal resources (editors, motion graphics team, re-touchers) 
  • Lead projects from pre-production through post-production completion and ensure excellent communication of next steps and deadlines with brand and team members throughout each phase 
  • Maintain department’s documentation as up to date as possible 
  • Take full ownership of assigned projects from brief to final delivery 
  • Manage all back-end work such as cost tracking and management of invoices and POs 
  • Advocate for both creative and brand teams to ensure priorities for both parties are met to produce the best product possible  

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 2-3+ years of experience as Jr. Producer or production manager in a production company or agency, with knowledge of the digital, social, broadcast, and event production 
  • Experience creating and managing budgets at a wide variety of levels  
  • Experience assembling crews is a plus 
  • Knowledge of the logistics involved in photo and digital/ video/event production 
  • Ability to find cost efficient ways to get projects done 
  • Ability to liaise with clients to determine campaign scope, estimates and schedules 
  • Ability to think and work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude 
  • Experience executing and renewing talent usage contracts 
  • Experience managing external vendors 
  • Superior time management skills 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Ensure projects follow the agency process and are completed on time and on budget 
  • Motivate and manage teams under tight deadlines 
  • Drive efficiency and creative excellence at all times 
  • A fast learner, go-getter and problem solver who offers help whenever possible 
  • Knowledge of working on a variety of projects formats in photography (stills, GIFs, cinemographs), video (short and long form, motion graphics and animation) for both paid and organic media, and experiential/event productions 
  • Ability to travel for shoots 
  • Familiarity with various social & digital, photo & video formats, and best in class practices for digital/social 
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $72,250.00 to $80,750.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
