About the role: 

Work with our dedicated to multinational alcohol and beverage brands. We’re looking for a creative that’s also a maker – one that will concept and is ready to grab a camera and go create content. You’ll be a doer as much as a thinker, working on culturally relevant brands. You’ll need an understanding of what’s going on in the worlds of entertainment, sports, gaming, and social media and how to act on and capture those trends. This role will join a team of account people, designers, writers and producers to create top of the line social activations.  

As an Art Director, you will have strong social first creative skills, be comfortable taking projects from brief to completion, and provide new ideas and creativity while working closely with the client’s brand guidelines. You’ll have an expertise in video and image production, including shooting, editing,and retouching. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of social media trends, and the ability to create engaging content that resonates with our target audience. They’ll be able to action projects fromconceptualizing ideas through execution to post-productionmanaging all elements of production and creation along the way. You will also have strong social design skills. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Work alongside a copywriter to concept brand ideas that come to life in social, digital, traditional and experiential 
  • Work in a social ‘newsroom’ to post and react on brands’ social media platforms 
  • Collaborate on producing beautiful and innovative conceptual ideas from brief to execution 
  • Create and manage scalable design systems and components to drive consistency and effectiveness across mediums 
  • Effectively manage workloads within agreed timelines 
  • Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices 
  • Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency 
  • Can present and sell their own work 
  • Develop and execute creative content strategies for social media platforms, including organic and paid support content. 
  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos and images that align with our brand's voice and aesthetic.  
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and create content that supports marketing campaigns and initiatives.  
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our content remains fresh and relevant.  
  • Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring all content is stored and archived appropriately.  

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 3-5 years experience (ideally agency background) of working on social media content capture. 
  • Know and create on social, and digital platforms – social first mindset 
  • Strong Portfolio of work to show 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent illustration skills 
  • Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite  
  • Managing art pipelines working to tight deadlines 
  • A thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing 
  • Ability to adapt your art style 
  • The ability to take projects from concept to completion, with a history of translating strategic thinking into compelling, visual ideas. 
  • Deep knowledge & production experience with integrated and digital campaigns. 
  • Brilliant communication skills and the ability to work well within a team 
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.  
  • Strong photography and videography skills, with experience in lighting, composition, and storytelling.  
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.  
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.  
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $76,500.00 CAD to $85,500.00 CAD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
