Job Summary

Elements Connect is looking for a Sales Engineer with a strong track record and a genuine passion for selling technology solutions to senior executives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales by targeting new prospects and cultivating existing customer relationships to achieve high renewal rates and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our company's products or services to customers.
  • Discussing equipment needs and system requirements with customers and engineers.
  • Generating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.
  • Understanding and configuring products to meet customers' technical requirements and needs.
  • Helping customers who have problems with installed products and recommending improved or upgraded software and hardware.
  • Soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
  • Setting and achieving sales goals and quotas.
  • Training other members of the potential sales team on the technical aspects of the company's products and services.
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFQ / RFI responses

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with a numeracy base
  • A customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering value to end-users
  • Experience with Staffing or ERP systems are a plus
