The role:

We are looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to help design and build a next-generation investment mobile application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, attention to detail in user experience, and solid knowledge of secure, high-performance app design.

About the project

We are embarking on a mission to build a cutting-edge, direct-to-consumer digital investment platform for a leader in the financial services industry. The core challenge is to create a seamless and intuitive experience that captures and retains significant assets, particularly from individuals transitioning out of employer-sponsored retirement plans and those seeking to invest their personal capital.
This is a ground-up initiative to deliver a modern wealth management solution. You will be at the heart of a strategic, multi-phased program that fundamentally transforms how our client engages with its customers.

The work

The project involves architecting and developing a robust platform powered by a modern, API-based infrastructure. We will integrate with a leading fintech partner to handle the core mechanics of account opening, funding, and trading, allowing our team to focus on building a superior, client-facing experience.
Success requires more than just great code. You will join a dynamic, cross-functional team of product managers, UX/UI designers, business strategists, and compliance experts. You will work in close collaboration to navigate complex financial regulations, translate intricate business requirements into elegant technical solutions, and solve challenging integration problems with our external partners. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building products that have a real-world impact on people's financial futures.

Requirements:

• English proficiency: C1 or higher.
• Proven experience in mobile development with React Native, delivering high-quality and performant apps for iOS and Android.
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript.
• Strong experience consuming RESTful APIs, with attention to data integrity and reliability.
• Experience with Git, and collaborative workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
• Hands-on experience with automated and end-to-end testing, using frameworks such as Jest or Detox.
• Understanding of UX/UI best practices, with strong attention to visual detail and user experience — particularly within financial or investment applications.
• Experience with mobile app build, signing, and distribution processes (App Store and Play Store).

Nice to have:

• Experience building or contributing to financial or investment applications.
• Experience building ReactNative module/libraries.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments using Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of mobile performance optimization best practices.
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with other hybrid frameworks such as Ionic or Flutter.
• React.js experience for maintaining or integrating companion web applications.
