Finance Task Pack Architect (MCP / Oracle Fusion).
Innovation Starts With You.
Finance Task Pack Architect (MCP / Oracle Fusion).
Full time - Permanent Position
Toronto / Ottawa - Canada.
Job Role:
As a Finance Process & Systems Architect, you will sit at the intersection of Finance Operations, Product Design, and Technical Systems. Your primary mission is to transform static finance policies into dynamic, executable workflows. You will design "task packs" and "role cockpits" that integrate Oracle Fusion data with Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, ensuring that every finance professional—from AP Processors to Finance Managers—has a prioritized, governed, and data-rich environment to execute their daily work.
Responsibilities:
- Define and document specific finance roles (AP, GL, AR, FP&A) including their outcomes, permissions, and operational boundaries.
- Build reusable daily, weekly, and monthly task packs. You will design "normal flow" and "exception flow" tasks that serve as the blueprint for finance execution.
- Separate common global role patterns from specific business-unit variations to ensure scalability.
- Design the "Role Cockpit" and prioritized work queues. Determine the logic for what surfaces first (e.g., aging items, close-blockers, or approvals at risk).
- Turn static procedures into a live operational queue of decisions and completions.
- Identify Oracle Fusion data requirements for each task and specify deep links and contextual data pulls to streamline the user experience.
- Attach controls, policy checks, SOP guidance, and playbooks directly to tasks.
- Define completion criteria, required sign-offs, and evidence capture to ensure auditability and clean handoffs.
- MCP Integration: Partner with integration teams to define governed MCP tools that surface work queues safely, adhering to the principle of least-privilege access.
- Telemetry Analysis: Review completion data and exception hotspots to identify bottlenecks or learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Finance Operations: Deep background in AP, GL close, reconciliations, and period-end controls.
- ERP Systems: Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion finance processes and common user friction points.
- Policy Translation: Proven ability to translate complex financial policies into clear, operational work steps.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to decompose a complex role into a library of reusable "task cards" and schemas.
- MCP/Technical Literacy: Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts, data retrieval patterns, and how to define requirements for integration teams.
- User-Centric Design: Experience designing for exception handling and using "adoption telemetry" to improve product features.
Deliverables Owned by This Role
- Role definitions and Task Pack blueprints.
- Task card schemas and Exception Playbooks.
- Evidence/Sign-off rules and Audit logic.
- MCP tool requirements and Cockpit/Queue designs.
