Senior RF Hardware Test Engineer

Team Overview:
We are looking for experienced semiconductor/RF hardware Test Engineer to join the Impinj Product and Test Engineering team to work on the next generation of End-point and Reader IC's. They will use their expertise in test methodology and knowledge of test hardware to create, deploy, and maintain test solutions running on production ATE. These solutions will enable characterization, qualification, and production for Impinj’s End-point and Reader IC's.
What You Will Do:
- Complete test programs throughout all phases of the design process
- Implement test plans, specifications, and procedures in accordance with quality assurance program requirements
- Release test programs and hardware on the ATE (Automated Testing Equipment) for characterization and production testing of silicon devices
- Update and optimize silicon test programs from test requirement documentation
- Purchase ATE hardware for NPI and production, including Load Board, probe card, and interface
- Analyze large data sets using JMP, SQL, Matlab and review results with test and design engineering teams
- Qualify new test hardware and software for release in a production environment
- Contribute to cost reduction efforts such as yield improvement, test time reduction, and test elimination
- Collaborate with Impinj's overseas teams to transfer products into high-volume testing
- Investigate production yield issues and product returns to determine root cause and implement corrective actions
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar discipline with 5+ years of experience
- Product engineering experience with familiarity in ATE coverage, margin, and binning
- Direct experience with wafer or die ATE testing, NI/Emerson TestStand, and Semiconductor Test System (STS) is preferred
- The ability to perform conducted RF measurements including S-parameters, AM/PM, compression, noise figure, harmonics/spurious emission, phase noise, switching speed, bit error rate, adjacent channel power, and group delay
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Experience with the packaged part test architecture is a plus
Compensation & Benefits:

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $111,200 - $166,800. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
