Analog Design Engineer Intern

Team Overview:

As an intern on the Silicon Engineering Team, you’ll work alongside experienced RF engineers and technologists on cutting-edge RAIN RFID systems. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your academic knowledge, grow your technical skills, and contribute to real-world innovation in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

What will you do:

  • Work closely with analog, digital, mask designers, and test engineers through all phases of product development to deliver new features and product designs to the market.
  • Characterizing analog and mixed-signal designs in the lab to validate functionality and performance.
  • Measuring and modeling test structures and silicon devices to support design and verification.
  • Supporting lab-based evaluation and debugging circuits.
  • Proactively identifying and suggesting improvements to design processes and development workflows.

What you will bring:

  • Coursework in analog and/or mixed-signal CMOS design, device modeling, or related fields.
  • Solid understanding of transistor-level, circuit, and system theory.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor device physics and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of physical design concepts, including layout and CMOS process interactions, and their impact on performance.
  • Some experience of schematic entry tools and running SPICE or mixed-signal simulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, and the internship must satisfy your academic program’s formal internship requirements.
  • This is an in-office position based at Impinj Brazilian Development Center, Tecnopuc, Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil
