
Field Sales Account Manager, Reader IC

Team Overview:
As a Field Sales Account Manager focused on China-based RAIN RFID device OEM partners you will drive adoption of the Impinj platform by building strong relationships, supporting design-in efforts, and enabling partner success. You’ll collaborate closely with regional Solution Engineers to ensure Impinj products are integrated into OEM devices and systems that solve real-world use cases for Fortune 500 companies. You’ll also advocate for device OEM partner requirements with our Product teams to help shape future innovations.
What You Will Do:
- Champion Impinj Reader IC products and raise awareness among device OEM partners across China
- Achieve quarterly and annual Reader IC revenue and market share goals in the region
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of reader chip design wins at device OEM partners
- Provide hands-on support to device OEMs in productizing and promoting RAIN RFID reader solutions
- Negotiate and execute financial agreements and value-based pricing strategies
- Lead early access engagements for new product introductions with strategic partners
- Maintain deep knowledge of device OEM partner products and collaborate with the Enterprise Sales team to match them with high-impact end-user deployments
- Partner with Product Management to identify emerging markets and new device OEM opportunities
- Deliver training on new product features, capabilities, and best practices
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with key device OEM partners
- Represent Impinj at industry events and partner sites to promote our platform and solutions
- Maintain full accountability for near- and long-term revenue forecasting, using tools such as Salesforce.com to manage pipeline, opportunities, and account health
- This role requires residency in Shenzhen and approximately 20% travel
What You Will Bring:
- 8+ years of experience in sales or business development, supporting RF product design-in efforts in the IoT space, or Integrated Circuit sales in embedded or consumer electronic systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of embedded and sensor-based wireless technologies and standards
- Experience with Integrated Circuit design into OEM devices or systems and strong understanding of design in complexities and challenges
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in both Mandarin and English
- Proven ability to solve complex technical and business challenges
- Prior experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms
Compensation & Benefits:
The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.
The typical base pay range for this role across China is ¥450,000 - ¥550,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. US based employees have access to healthcare benefits; a 401(k) plan and company match among others.
