Inalab Consulting is searching for a detail oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team in dynamic government contracting environment. The Senior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, contract compliance, and financial reporting in accordance with FAR and GAAP. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of federal contracting regulations, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DCAA compliance. The Senior Accountant will provide Inalab with strategic financial input and execute accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial activities.
Position:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing and entry of Vendor Invoices, Vendor Payments, Billing, Customer Payments, and Payroll
- Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, and HR teams to ensure proper labor charging and billing in compliance with contract terms.
- Prepare and review invoices for Cost-Reimbursable, T&M, and FFP contracts in compliance with customer and DCMA/DCAA requirements.
- Assist with preparation of Payroll and Month-end journal entries
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for cash and credit card accounts
- Assist with timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of all transactions in compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS.
- Maintain organized audit-ready files and support internal and external audit requests.
- Contribute to process improvements to strengthen internal controls and financial reporting efficiency
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support leadership decisions.
- Support the 1099 reporting process
Leadership:

- Reviews work of Accountant

Education & Experience Requirements:
- S. in Accounting
- CPA or CMA a plus
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in government contract accounting
- Hands-on experience with Unanet ERP required
- Knowledge of FAR-compliant accounting practices.
- Knowledge of DCAA-compliant accounting practices
- Proficiency with Receivables, Payables, Payroll, and General Ledger
Other:
- Ability to demonstrate a designated work area at home for professional and confidential interactions.
