Job Title: Application Support Engineer (C#/React)
Location: Washington, DC - 100% onsite
Clearance: Ability to acquire a Public Trust (US citizenship or permanent residency is required)
We are looking for a talented Application Support Engineer with a strong background in C# and React.js to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to maintain and support existing web applications, perform bug fixes, cybersecurity remediations, and ensure ongoing performance and compliance. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of AWS containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools used in low-code applications.
This position requires a hands-on engineer who can work across front-end and back-end systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical support for both custom applications and Microsoft 365-based tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing C#/.NET web applications.
- Support full stack application functionality including front-end (React.js, HTML/CSS/JavaScript), APIs, and back-end services.
- Perform application security scanning and remediation in compliance with FAA cybersecurity requirements.
- Support deployment in FAA’s AWS-based Tyrion Container Platform using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD processes.
- Provide configuration and technical oversight for Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Power Apps, and Access-based systems.
- Manage version control, configuration changes, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with database administrators to ensure performance, patching, upgrades, and backups (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies, code reviews, and requirements discussions.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in full stack development with a focus on C# and .NET Core.
- Experience with front-end development using React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Understanding of containerization concepts and basic DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, Git, Kubernetes/AWS).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Access, Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform).
- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues across the stack.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal or enterprise environments with security compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, Git, and Agile workflows.
- Exposure to low-code/no-code platforms or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.
- Understanding of performance tuning, patching, and backup strategies for application and database layers.
