- Position Duties:
- Execute data analysis pipelines and deliver results that drive decisions made on edited material in the product development stages.
- Work with other data science team members to identify data analysis pipeline bugs and implement patches.
- Work with wet lab members and scientists to understand the analysis needs and implement the appropriate analysis method.
- Work with colleagues in molecular and genomic analysis lab group to appropriately plan and prioritize analyses, as well as troubleshoot pipeline errors which may arise from upstream lab processes.
- Maintain detailed and organized analysis records, including dataset and analysis code as required.
- Provide an accurate report regarding the status and timeline of ongoing analyses to stakeholders.
- Provide support when needed to retrieve historical data and results.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Statistical Biology, or another relevant field is preferred; BS with 3+yrs experience is required.
- An understanding of next generation sequencing technology and bioinformatics applications/tools used to process this data.
- Proficiency in R and Python code basics.
- Proficiency in working in linux /*sh family of scripts.
- Ability to rapidly summarize and communicate data.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and timelines with care and efficiency.
- Experience with webapp development is a plus
