Advanced Analytics Crypto Expert (US)
Advanced Analytics Crypto Expert
About Us:
Inca Digital is a veteran-owned data intelligence firm specializing in digital-asset analytics for exchanges, financial institutions, regulators, and blockchain ecosystems. We fuse structured and unstructured data from blockchains, social networks, and financial markets into a powerful analytics engine supporting ecosystem monitoring and counter–illicit finance intelligence. We operate as a fast-paced, nimble, and remote-first technology company. We leverage an asynchronous-first workflow, minimize meetings, and fiercely prioritize logic over authority.
Role Overview:
As an Advanced Analytics Expert (AACE), you will operate as an embedded, outsourced financial intelligence asset within a prominent partner law firm’s Corporate Governance "New Matters" team. In this capacity, you will bridge the gap between traditional corporate records and advanced on-chain/off-chain data forensics, synthesizing raw data into flawless, court-ready narrative intelligence reports to help attorneys evaluate executive misconduct, breach of fiduciary duty claims, self-dealing, and high-profile corporate fraud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Governance & OSINT Investigations: Conduct deep-dive research into corporate entities, board structures, and senior executives using advanced OSINT, public registries, and financial media to uncover undisclosed conflicts of interest, with a specific focus on mapping non-obvious human networks, historical relationships, and informal affiliations where public disclosures are silent.
- Multi-Source Data Synthesis: Collect and analyze public information and internal records to support case assessments, systematically reviewing SEC filings, analyst reports, and proprietary market intelligence.
- On-Chain & Off-Chain Tracing: Leverage proprietary blockchain forensic software and data analytics tools alongside public records to track complex capital flows and map hidden networks.
- Pipeline & Record Management: Partner with the "New Matters" team to process proprietary information-gathering systems, keeping organized, audit-ready records of all case assessments.
- Litigation Material Drafting: Build clear, logical investigative reports, summaries, and detailed sections of investigative books/records requests or pre-litigation document demands.
- Declarations & Witness Support: Author fact-based declarations and affidavits for court proceedings; identify and interview potential fact witnesses to gather critical background intelligence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in strategic attorney sessions to evaluate factual and legal criteria for new matters, and coordinate with internal R&D and peer investigators to pull in advanced technical resources.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years in an investigative, analytical, research, or compliance role (e.g., corporate intelligence, investigative journalism, trust & safety, paralegal, or financial crime investigation).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree demonstrating strong research capabilities (e.g., journalism, finance, economics, international relations, or data analytics). This is a non-attorney position; a law degree is not required.
- Corporate Transaction Literacy: A practical, real-world understanding of how corporate transactions, mergers, board of directors, and internal company conflicts operate. Must be comfortable reading transactional agreements, proxy statements, and filings to identify strategic leverage points and internal friction.
- Public Record Mastery: Proven ability to navigate, extract, and synthesize data from corporate registries, SEC/regulatory filings, and online public databases.
- Advanced OSINT: Practical experience applying open-source intelligence techniques, advanced search operators, and digital footprint analysis to complex investigations.
- Investigative Mindset & Writing: A natural knack for connecting disparate data points paired with the ability to translate complex technical findings into well-structured, easy-to-read legal reports.
- Location & Availability: Must be US-based, legally authorized to work in the US, and aligned daily with Eastern Time (ET) business hours. Requires flexibility and stamina to handle high-stakes, time-sensitive investigations and demanding project timelines.
