Superintendent/Estimator
The Opportunity
InCharge Energy is seeking a highly organized Superintendent/Estimator to support charging electrification rollouts from both the office and the field. This dual role combines estimating responsibilities with field supervision, ensuring projects are accurately scoped and successfully executed. You’ll report directly to the Senior Electrical Estimator, with a dotted line to the Director of Project Management for field operations, and work closely with our EPC Team.
What You’ll Do
Estimating
- Partner with Account Executives and the EPC Team to scope and price EV infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed take-offs, material lists, and labor requirements
- Use industry-standard software (Conest preferred) and cost databases to generate accurate estimates
- Gather vendor quotes, subcontractor bids, and analyze market data for competitive pricing
- Flag potential risks and opportunities, and provide cost insights during project reviews
- Maintain an up-to-date cost history to support future estimating
Superintendent
- Oversee field installation activities from mobilization through commissioning
- Develop and update field schedules; track sequencing and progress weekly
- Conduct daily site walks to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance
- Uphold safety standards, including review of JHAs, toolbox talks, and OSHA 30 compliance
- Maintain detailed documentation (progress reports, change orders, punch lists, etc.)
- Lead and mentor field staff, fostering a collaborative, safety-first environment
- Ensure sites are clean, orderly, and meet or exceed customer requirements
- Manage projects in Salesforce and Procore, with scheduling in MS Project
- Travel regularly and adapt to managing multiple locations simultaneously
Your Experience & Capabilities
- 15+ years of experience in construction estimating and field installation (electrical contracting preferred)
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license, or ability to obtain within 120 days
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Superintendent; Project Manager experience a plus
- OSHA 30 certification required; forklift/Lull certification required
- ECAP and EVITP certifications, or ability to obtain within 120 days
- Hands-on experience with BESS, EV charging, and solar integration strongly preferred
- Proficiency with cost estimating software and Microsoft Office; Salesforce and Procore a plus
- Adaptable, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-changing start-up environment
Physical & Environmental Demands
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Position is remote, based in the Northeast U.S.
- Requires physical ability to lift, carry, and install heavy objects in the field
US Salary Range
$110,000 - $130,000 USD
