Sales Engineer:
Reporting directly to the Sales Engineering Manager, the Sales Engineer (SE) will play a critical role in supporting our field sales team to meet and exceed ARR targets from
new account acquisition and current customer expansion. The SE will identify key prospect needs, deliver compelling and concise product demonstrations, and provide
pre-sales technical support. The SE will serve as a liaison between the sales and implementation teams, ensuring a seamless transition from selling activities to the
implementation phase.
The ideal candidate will have a persuasive communication style and a knack for making complex technology easy to understand. They enjoy leveraging their expertise to help new prospects see the value of iiQ technology and enjoy sharing the
current customer success stories. Effective timely internal communication with Product Management, Customer Success, and other key stakeholders is also a critical
success factor.
Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with field sales reps to understand prospect requirements and challenges.
- Deliver compelling and concise product demonstrations for new prospects and current customers.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to address prospect and customer needs.
- Act as the technical adviser throughout the sales cycle, and ensure proper expectations are set for successful product implementations.
- Collaborate with field sales reps to develop effective wins strategies focused on iiQ technical advantages and capabilities.
- Assist in technical documentation for RFP support and proposal generation.
- Provide technical expertise in training and enablement for the field sales team.
- Maintain and customize Sales Showcase demo environment.
- Create and maintain strategic demo automation assets.
- Act as technical liaison between customer needs and product development.
- Delivery compelling stories of how current customer districts generate positive outcomes using iiQ technology.
- Remain updated on industry trends and competitive differentiators to maintain a competitive edge.
Key Skills / Experience:
- Four (4) year college degree, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience performing pre-sales support in SaaS market.
- Minimum of 3 years K12 market experience in a vendor support capacity.
- Track record of consistent top performance – meeting/exceeding expectations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex technology.
- Exceptional group presentation skills – compelling and persuasive style.
- Highly organized and process driven work habits.
- Driven individual with ability to work independently and within a team environment in a competitive marketplace.
- Exceptionally strong technology skills and training.
- Demonstrated understanding of API workflows and the ability to articulate K-12 system integration capabilities to technical stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 50%
