The Impact You’ll Make

As our Senior Java Engineer on the Document Intelligence team, you will shape the backbone of one of the market’s most advanced document-processing pipelines. You’ll build and optimize the systems that seamlessly orchestrate machine learning models, handle complex document workflows, and enable identity verification at global scale. Your work will define not just how documents are processed, but how trust is built across passports, visas, driver’s licenses, proof of address, and beyond.

You will be a cornerstone of the engineering organization—ensuring every line of code, every pipeline, and every service you touch reflects our values of quality, integrity, and impact. By working hand-in-hand with ML engineers, DevOps, and operations, you’ll empower Incode to continue leading in AI-driven identity verification.

What You’ll Own & Drive

• Pipeline Engineering – Design and enhance a scalable, resilient backend pipeline that coordinates ML services and configuration-driven workflows.
• System Reliability – Build with observability, performance, and fault-tolerance at the core, ensuring our document systems run at enterprise-grade reliability.
• Internal Tools & APIs – Develop high-quality internal tools and web APIs that empower teams and streamline operations.
• Quality-First Development – Deliver clean, well-tested code that meets the highest standards of design and maintainability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with ML, DevOps, and product teams to bring models into production, iterate on features, and ensure seamless delivery from idea to deployment.
• Scalability & Innovation – Anticipate future needs and push the boundaries of how ML-powered document intelligence can scale globally.

Your Background

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend engineering.
• Proficiency in Java/Kotlin and the Spring framework ecosystem.
• Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and domain-driven design.
• Familiarity with observability tools and building systems for reliability.
• Skilled in designing APIs and full-cycle software development.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.

• Exposure to ML-centric systems or distributed ML pipelines.
