What you will do:

The Inactive Medicaid and PA Coordinator is responsible for communicating Medicaid status to families and sites as well as keeping all Medicaid & PASSE PA’s active and in good standing for all services that we provide.

  • Complete all aspects of the therapy PA process in a timely manner including, but not limited to, initial PA preparation and submission, and ongoing PA management to ensure all children remain billable. 
  • Complete all PA processes with a goal of having the new PA in place prior to the current PA expiring. 
  • Communicate effectively and timely with onsite administration team to ensure quality and efficiency of PA processes including, but not limited to, weekly and monthly PA notifications, PA approval emails, documentation request emails. 
  • Communicate effectively and timely with the state contracted providers who process PAs as needed for approval of all PAs. 
  • Input patient data into company’s software program. 
  • Communicate with families when changes in funding occur. 
  • Maintain multiple excel spreadsheets. 
  • Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Basic computer skills which include a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software. 
  • Must be persistent in getting the correct benefits from insurance companies. 
  • Ability to problem solve and think about how changes in funding could affect our clients financially. 
  • Ability to recognize patterns in coverage and benefits from insurance companies. 
  • Desire to be on the phone most of the time. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code. 
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. 
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: Starts at $19.23 per hour
