THE ROLE
As an Data Operations & Strategy Intern part of our NAM regional team you'll focus on creating a reliable source of truth for operational data, improve KPIs visibility, reduce manual reporting effort, and decreases the time Regional Managers spend gathering, cleaning, and validating data, allowing them to focus on operational execution and strategic decision-making.
You will have ownership on the execution of end-to-end processes that support the achievement of those objectives, spanning from, Dashboard & Report Delivery, Data Consolidation Efficiency, Data Reconciliation Resolution Time.
Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, you will play an essential role in the execution of our operation. You will need to coordinate your actions with your team members and local operations and your actions will have a direct impact on results.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Working with data from multiple systems (Metabase, TMS, Excel, and operational platforms) that may have different structures, definitions, and levels of data quality.
- Ensuring data accuracy and consistency while consolidating information into a single source of truth for business reporting.
- Identifying operational risks, performance gaps, and trends proactively through data analysis rather than relying solely on stakeholder requests.
- Translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Balancing multiple reporting requests, recurring deliverables, and ad-hoc analyses in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Supporting decision-making across multiple business functions, including Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Asset Management, and Sales.
- Maintaining reporting reliability while business processes, KPIs, and operational priorities continue to evolve.
- Influencing operational improvements through data and recommendations without having direct authority over the teams responsible for implementation.
- Building trust in data quality and reporting standards among stakeholders who rely on accurate information for operational decisions.
- Contributing to the reduction of manual reporting processes and helping establish scalable data governance practices as the company grows.
- Providing visibility into business performance and reducing the analytical workload of Regional Managers, enabling them to focus on operational execution and strategic initiatives.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education & Background: Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related fields.
- Action-Oriented: You take initiative to address operational needs, solve problems, and ensure the smooth flow of work.
- Organized & Analytical: Strong ability to analyze data, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively to ensure successful outcomes.
- Attention to Detail: You follow detailed procedures closely, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit with the willingness to work closely with team members and local teams to contribute to shared goals.
- Adaptable & Resilient: Ability to adjust plans to meet evolving demands while following procedures to reach desired results.
- Strong Communicator: Clear and effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, local partners, and external stakeholders.
- Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory.
