Job Description 

Job Title: HR Business Partner

Base Salary: $90 - $110k, based on skill and experience 

Location: Seattle, Washington

Work model: In-office

Travel Requirements: 25% travel required nationally.

Reports to: Director, People & Culture, Community Care

Job Summary: 

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP) with Indigenous Pact, you will play a vital role in supporting the mission-driven work of care communities and their mobile operations. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring our employees are empowered to provide exceptional member care. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, Community Care, you will assist with people strategies that align with our commitment to community health and well-being. 

In this role, you will oversee the People Operations Partner for care communities, serving as a leader and resource in employment law, compliance, employee relations, and leadership coaching. Your ability to work quickly and responsively will ensure outstanding employee experience, enabling our staff to focus on delivering high-quality care to members. This position is pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence, equity, and collaboration.

Essential Job Functions:

  • List duties Partner with leaders across care communities and mobile operations to align HR practices with organizational goals. 
  • Provide expert guidance on employment law, compliance, employee relations, and performance management. 
  • Act as a leadership coach to managers, supporting their development and fostering a positive work environment. 
  • Assist with initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention. 
  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations into employee relations matters. 
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit and onboard top talent for care communities and mobile teams. 
  • Drive change management efforts as needed, ensuring alignment with organizational values. 
  • Regularly assess HR processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction. 
  • Provide responsive support to all levels of the organization, ensuring prompt resolution of HR concerns.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Deep expertise in employment law, compliance, employee relations, and leadership coaching. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with precision and professionalism. 
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to travel frequently to clinic and mobile operation sites across care communities as needed. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. 
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating integrity in all interactions.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR Business Partner responsibilities. 
  • Demonstrated success in coaching leaders and managing complex employee relations issues. 
  • Experience supporting healthcare or mission-driven organizations is a plus. 

Physical and sensory demands: 

  • This position will require extended periods of sitting, typing, and working on a computer screen.
  • Close vision is required for computer work.

Working environment: 

  • This is a remote position, with expected working hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Occasional travel to Indigenous Pact work sites may be required.
  • Ability to travel frequently to out-of-state client locations.
