Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage building and equipment maintenance schedules. Maintenance Technician responsibilities include preventative / corrective maintenance, responding to urgent maintenance calls and maintaining the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. This role is critical in providing hands-on to facilities and equipment to avoid downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures that all safety equipment (Fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc.) are kept updated, meeting current building codes and in proper working order.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Perform corrective maintenance as needed
• Maintains records on equipment and facilities of maintenance performed by other qualified trades persons.
• Establish and maintain maintenance procedures for equipment.
• Establish and maintain procedures for disposal of shop items and equipment waste of environmentally sensitive materials such as waste oil, shop rags, etc.
• Ensure facility equipment is installed and maintained in a safe manner.
• Track and manage scrap materials and recycling.
• Order and manage spare parts
• Perform other related duties which may be required by supervisor.

• Responsible for on time promise (%)
• Manage consumables and safety standards
• Downtime (%)
• KPI dashboards updated

Qualifications

• 4-6 Years of experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment in an industrial setting.
• Forklift certification is highly desired.
• Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
  • Experience with metal fabrication (laser, press brake, bus bar)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with different points of views, convey priorities, and address issues promptly.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, and unforeseen challenges while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Skill in addressing conflicts and resolving interpersonal issues among team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet production deadlines.
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented effectively, and root causes are addressed comprehensively.

Physical Demands

• Activities: Sitting – 20% Walking/Standing – 80%
• Lifting: Continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.
• Vision: Ability to see small or detailed items.
• Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Environment: Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $89,440  -$104,000  per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
