Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrum Master to guide and support our agile teams through all phases of product development. The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader and coach, ensuring that the team follows agile principles and delivers high-quality results efficiently. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of Scrum and agile frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach team members in self-management and cross-functionality to build high-performing agile teams.
- Help the team identify and remove obstacles that may impede progress.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a well-maintained and prioritized backlog.
- Support the Product Owner in communicating the product vision, goals, and backlog priorities to the team.
- Ensure Scrum principles are understood and practiced across the organization.
- Monitor team performance metrics and promote continuous improvement.
- Foster an environment of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
- Partner with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to promote consistent agile practices across teams.
- Protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile delivery role.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and other agile methodologies.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience working with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor teams in agile practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in software development or product management.
- Experience working in distributed or hybrid team environments.
