Reports To: Learning Program Manager 

Position Summary

The Talent Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of learning programs that empower employees to grow and succeed. In this role, you will be at the center of our learning operations—coordinating training logistics, supporting training delivery, maintaining documentation, managing learner inquiries, and providing technical support for learning systems.  In addition, this role applies foundational project coordination practices to support the planning, execution, and tracking of learning initiatives. The Talent Development Coordinator helps ensure timelines are met, stakeholders are aligned, and deliverables are completed efficiently.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure training programs run smoothly across multiple company sites in Surrey, BC. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage training data and reporting while ensuring a seamless learning experience for employees.

Key Responsibilities 

Training Coordination

  • Assist in scheduling instructor-led training sessions based on business needs and training calendars across multiple company sites.
  • Communicate training schedules with leaders and employees, ensuring clear expectations and accurate training rosters.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including room bookings, materials, equipment, and required resources.
  • Track training schedules and milestones across multiple sites to ensure alignment with overall program timelines.
  • Proactively identify scheduling conflicts, risks, or delays and coordinate solutions with stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, completions, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Collect participant feedback and assist in tracking learning outcomes to support continuous improvement of training programs.
  • Travel periodically between sites to ensure training logistics and coordination are effectively managed.

Training Delivery Support

  • Provide backup support during training sessions, including managing sign-in sheets, distributing materials, facilitating surveys, and completing post-training follow-ups.
  • Assist trainers in preparing training materials and coordinating session activities.

Content Support

  • Collaborate with trainers and subject matter experts to ensure learning content remains accurate, relevant, and engaging.
  • Help maintain training documentation.

Learning Systems & Technical Support

  • Assist in maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS), including organizing course catalogs, course descriptions, and course tags.
  • Support the onboarding of new users into the LMS, including login assistance, MFA support, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and encourage usage of various learning tools by tracking usage reports, supporting content creation, and helping maintain an organized video library.
  • Provide technical support for employees and trainers using training platforms or tools.

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Support the planning and coordination of talent development initiatives by tracking timelines, deliverables, and key milestones.
  • Maintain simple project plans, trackers, and status updates to ensure initiatives remain on schedule.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Learning Program Manager, HR, Operations, site leaders, and trainers) to align on project timelines, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively follow up on outstanding tasks or risks to ensure completion.
  • Assist in identifying and escalating risks, delays, or resource constraints to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support documentation of project processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to post-project reviews by gathering feedback and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Data Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and maintain training data to ensure accuracy of records and compliance reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain training metrics and reports, including participation rates, completion data, and program effectiveness.
  • Assist in analyzing training data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the continuous improvement of training processes, systems, and documentation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage training-related queries, ensuring timely responses and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members or resources.
  • Assist with special projects related to learning and talent development initiatives.
  • Support broader talent development initiatives and programs as required.

Qualifications 

Required

  • 1+ years of experience in learning & development, training coordination, HR support, or a related administrative role.
  • Basic understanding of project coordination principles, including task tracking, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in managing documentation and training records.
  • Ability to provide responsive and professional customer service to internal stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training platforms.
  • Experience providing technical support for training platforms and tools.
  • Ability to analyze training data and develop reports or dashboards.
  • Experience supporting projects or process improvement initiatives, including tracking timelines coordinating stakeholders, and maintaining project documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to triage and escalate issues effectively.

 Location

  • The position is an onsite role at our Surrey, British Columbia facilities and may require travel between the multiple Surrey facilities.

Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
