Shipper – Night Shift

Reports To: Shipping Manager 

Salary Range: $21–$27 CAD per hour, plus a 10% night-shift premium.

Position Summary: 

The Shipper – Night Shift is responsible for pulling product released from production during the afternoon, documenting and packaging these units, and setting them into position for loading the following morning. This position was created to support production ramp volumes at VAN 3 and reduce the Ready-for-Wrap backlog with minimal disruption to production and day shift shipping activities. Computer skills are not required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pull all afternoon-released product from the production floor.
  • Document and package units in accordance with IEM packaging and labeling standards.
  • Set completed units into position for loading by the morning shift.
  • Safely operate electric pallet jacks, Class 1 and Class 4 forklifts, and perform tasks related to the movement and loading of heavy products.
  • Comply with all company quality, safety, and production policies and procedures.
  • Perform general maintenance duties as required.
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Shipping Lead or manager.

Qualifications:

  • Forklift experience required (Class 1 and Class 4).
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in packaging accuracy and product handling.
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience an asset.
  • Computer skills are not required for this role.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation for night shift hours.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Demonstrates punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Available to work Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Warehouse and production floor environment; exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Required to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs for extended periods during the shift.
  • Required to operate powered material handling equipment (electric pallet jacks, forklifts).
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
