About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Facilities Field Technician to join our team! In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining a top-tier experience for thousands of our members in the New York City market. With a strong focus on customer service, you'll help ensure our spaces run smoothly and efficiently.
In this role, your daily tasks will include the maintenance and general upkeep of the new and existing Industrious facilities in the New York City area - predominantly in Manhattan & Brooklyn, with occasional travel to Short Hills, NJ (unlimited metro card provided).
To take on this position, you must have the experiences and skills necessary to fulfill the day-to-day duties of the role. Your responsibilities will include things like restroom maintenance, general office cleaning and repair, general site repairs including patchwork and painting, changing of light bulbs and other electric issues, and a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems. In addition, you will be identifying the need for repairs, responding to maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment as necessary. You must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and consistency in daily data entry while ensuring strict compliance with standards when managing administrative tasks within our ticketing system
Success will mean enabling our locations to have the tools they need to operate smoothly day-to-day, allowing us to continue to provide thousands of our members in NYC with a happier, more productive, more connected workplace.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks in the NYC market to identify electrical, mechanical, and other equipment issues.

Execute preventative maintenance duties, including tasks such as painting touch-ups, ice machine upkeep, filter replacements, and glass maintenance, among others.

Conduct professional painting and patchwork services to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of facilities and offices.

Execute general repair and maintenance tasks to sustain the functionality and safety of facilities.

Performing janitorial duties including cleaning of glass, carpets, and other general areas as
required.

Execute timely water filter changes and address plumbing concerns, ensuring optimal
functionality and hygiene standards.

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on lighting systems, component parts, and fixtures
to ensure optimal functionality

Undertake furniture repair and restoration tasks with precision and care to uphold the structural
integrity and aesthetic appeal of furnishings.

Oversee HVAC systems and components, ensuring efficient operation and climate control within
facilities.

Procure necessary materials to support maintenance tasks and facility operations.

Identify and escalate major maintenance requirements promptly to prevent operational disruptions.

Efficiently utilize the online ticketing portal to manage maintenance requests, responding to and completing assigned tickets based on priority levels.
Requirements:

Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, encompassing a diverse skill set such as painting, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and mechanical tasks

Ability to lift items over 100 lbs.

This role demands physical capability encompassing walking, climbing, standing, lifting and transporting materials, stooping, kneeling, and bending at the waist.

Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism at all times, including customer-facing issues

Enjoys continuous change and improvement.

Detail-oriented regarding processes and extra attention to special requests

Ability to work with a large, diverse group of employees and vendors

Ability to learn and use Intermediate+ in gDrive/Dropbox (file management)

Ability to learn and use Intermediate+ in gSheets/Excel (data integrity)
Compensation:
This is a full time position with an hourly compensation of $30-$35 per hour. The successful candidate's hourly rate will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications.
