About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as our first dedicated Information Security professional. In this individual contributor role, you’ll lead hands-on efforts to secure our environments, support compliance initiatives, and drive alignment across internal departments, and external partners. This is a unique opportunity to build foundational security capabilities at a company that prioritizes trust, privacy, and scalable systems.

You will be responsible for internal security operations, tooling implementation, and driving best practices in cloud security, identity management, user awareness and data retention. This is an exciting opportunity to shape critical cyber security processes and be a key crossfunctional partner with many teams while we continue to scale our network of locations across the globe.

This is a hybrid role that can be based in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago or Miami, and will be expected to work from our local market hub office 1-2 days per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and evolve day-to-day security operations across corporate and cloud environments
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and track mitigation plans
  • Lead security configuration reviews and monitoring across Google Workspace, AWS, and endpoint systems
  • Coordinate with Tech and managed service providers on security tasks and escalations
  • Help evaluate, implement, and configure security tooling (e.g., EDR, MDM, SASE, CASB)
  • Build and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with compliance goals
  • Help plan and support future implementation of identity and access solutions (e.g., Okta)
  • Participate in vendor risk assessments and third-party reviews
  • Conduct internal phishing simulations, awareness campaigns, and training
  • Monitor and report on key security metrics to leadership

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in an information security role (or equivalent hands-on experience in IT with security focus)
  • Experience securing and administering Google Workspace and AWS environments
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, least privilege principles, and modern authentication methods (e.g., SSO, MFA)
  • Familiarity with Okta or similar identity platforms
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance programs (NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable writing policies and documentation and communicating security concepts to non-technical teams
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in IT, Engineering or a comparable field
  • Hands-on experience with EDR, MDM, or SASE platforms
  • Familiarity with compliance evidence collection and GRC tools
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code security in AWS
  • Prior involvement in SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audits
  • Security certifications (e.g., SSCP, CISSP, Security+, AWS Security Specialty)
