No coding experience is required. Just design, publish, measure and monetize.

The role
We are seeking a Director of Business Intelligence to lead the development and management of data-driven insights across our product and marketing teams. This role is responsible for building a business intelligence infrastructure that will help optimize product performance, support demand planning, and drive decision-making through the use of data dashboards, reports, and analytics.
The Director of BI will play a key role in ensuring data is accessible and actionable by partnering with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Strategy, to deliver insights that shape product development, budgets, and capacity planning.
What you’ll do
- Business Intelligence Strategy: Define and implement the BI strategy, working with product, marketing, and engineering teams to identify the most critical metrics and build a reporting infrastructure to track these KPIs.
- Dashboard Development & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards that provide real-time insights into product performance, marketing efforts, and customer behavior. Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and deliver actionable insights for various stakeholders.
- Product Usage Analysis: Analyze product usage data to identify trends, customer behaviors, and areas of improvement. Collaborate with the Product team to surface insights that inform product roadmaps and feature development.
- Marketing Performance Insights: Work closely with the marketing team to analyze campaign performance, customer acquisition, and return on marketing spend. Provide insights that feed into demand planning and help optimize the marketing budget.
- Engineering Capacity & Jira Data Analysis: Collaborate with the Engineering team to analyze Jira data for sprint velocity, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Help drive operational efficiency by providing real-time insights into team performance.
- Demand Planning Support: Provide the analytical foundation for the demand planning process, helping to forecast product demand based on historical data, market trends, and current product performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Strategy and other senior leaders to ensure alignment on reporting needs and insights. Partner with various departments to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Tool Management & Automation: Select and manage the BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and data infrastructure required to meet business needs. Ensure reports and dashboards are automated, scalable, and regularly updated.
- Performance Tracking & Optimization: Continuously monitor performance indicators, analyze trends, and recommend optimization opportunities across product, marketing, and engineering functions.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical skills in SQL and experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Proven track record of developing BI strategies and delivering insights that influence business decisions across product, marketing, and engineering teams.
- Experience with product and customer data analytics, particularly in understanding product usage trends and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of marketing analytics and the ability to tie marketing efforts to demand plans, budget optimization, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Experience in analyzing engineering and operational data, such as Jira data, to support capacity planning and sprint analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence decision-making, and drive business results through data.
We’ll be extra pumped if you have
- Experience working in an industry focused on immersive technologies, AI, or game engines.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting models.
Salary Range
$165,000 - $205,000 USD
Base pay will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, certifications, experience, market demands, and locations.
