Technical Product Manager – Semiconductor Metrology (AFM) 

£65,000 – £80,000 + EMI Share Options + Private Healthcare + Pension 

Are you a scientist or engineer who understands the realities of semiconductor manufacturing and advanced metrology? 

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to help shape the future of high-speed Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) for semiconductor process control. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of customers, engineering, applications and commercial strategy, influencing the development of technology used by leading semiconductor manufacturers globally.  

You may currently work in Product Management, Applications Engineering, Technical Marketing, Product Marketing or Technical Sales within semiconductor equipment, AFM, metrology, microscopy or scientific instrumentation. 

What you'll do 

  • Own and evolve the product roadmap for advanced semiconductor metrology solutions 
  • Translate customer challenges into commercially valuable product requirements 
  • Work closely with engineering and applications teams to influence product direction 
  • Engage directly with semiconductor customers and industry stakeholders 
  • Assess market trends, competitive activity and emerging technology opportunities 
  • Support product launches, positioning, messaging and go-to-market activities 
  • Create compelling technical and commercial content for customers and sales teams 
  • Drive product decisions based on market insight, customer feedback and business priorities 

We're particularly interested in speaking with people who have experience in: 

  • Semiconductor equipment or semiconductor process control 
  • Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) 
  • Semiconductor metrology 
  • Nanoscale measurement technologies 
  • Process control, inspection or characterisation systems 
  • Advanced scientific instrumentation 

Essential experience 

  • Degree in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline 
  • Experience within semiconductor, AFM, metrology or advanced instrumentation environments 
  • A strong understanding of customer requirements and translating them into product strategy 
  • Proven ability to influence engineers, scientists and commercial stakeholders 
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, applications, solutions or technology offerings 
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
