The role will serve as the technical liaison between internal teams, fan partners, mechanical contractors, and end users to ensure every retrofit solution is seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure.

This role will deliver technically sound, commercially viable retrofit fan solutions to data center customers by collaborating with internal teams, fan partners, and design stakeholders—ensuring mechanical fit, optimized performance, and successful project execution from initial inquiry to final implementation resulting in 4 converted opportunities to revenue by end of Y2025 and 10 to revenue by end of Y2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical discovery and solution design for retrofit projects within data centers and other mission-critical facilities.
  • Analyze existing HVAC systems and provide engineering support to retrofit aging, failing, or inefficient air handler units with modern fan and motor solutions.
  • Collaborate with fan and controls partners to develop mechanically and performance-compatible retrofit solutions.
  • Coordinate closely with internal Account Executives and external design partners to ensure alignment across commercial, technical, and execution phases.
  • Review scopes of work, develop and validate performance specs, and assemble detailed proposals and pricing documentation.
  • Support the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through installation, including site assessments, submittals, and commissioning support.
  • Communicate directly with facility engineers, mechanical contractors, and data center stakeholders to validate fit, airflow, controls, and performance metrics.
  • Manage multiple projects with a high degree of precision and accountability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC applications engineering, controls, or sales engineering roles.
  • Proven experience with commercial HVAC systems; data center or mission-critical project experience highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of fans, motors, VFDs, air handler systems, and control strategies.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, control diagrams, and technical specs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on retrofit or upgrade projects for aging mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC system performance modeling and analysis tools.
  • Experience assembling customer-facing proposals, pricing packages, and scope documentation.
  • Exposure to data center facility operations, airflow management, and energy efficiency optimization.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
