About this Role
As an Industry Team Manager, you will lead a team of 5-8 solution experts while simultaneously managing a dedicated book of business. This strategic role focuses on three key areas: developing your team members, driving industry vertical growth, and ensuring total accountability for customer delivery. You will be the central leader responsible for your team's performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and retention.
Responsibilities:
- Coach and Develop Talent: Actively manage, coach, and mentor a team of 5-8 solution experts, fostering their professional growth through regular 1:1s, goal setting, and identifying development opportunities.
- Manage Team Operations: Oversee all team operations, including capacity planning, project assignments, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality service delivery and accurate revenue recognition.
- Drive Strategic Growth: Partner closely with the sales and revenue teams on discovery calls, advising on best solutions for customer needs, and identifying expansion opportunities, lending your industry expertise to shape effective customer solutions.
- Ensure Customer Success: Take full ownership of customer satisfaction and retention for your team's accounts, building strong stakeholder relationships and regularly assessing engagement outcomes.
- Champion Performance: Hold responsibility for the team's overall profitability and performance, aligning individual objectives with organizational goals.
You could be a great fit if:
- You have proven experience in people management, specifically coaching, mentoring, and developing the careers of direct reports.
- You possess a strong strategic and growth-oriented mindset, with a track record of driving operational excellence and team profitability.
- You are an exceptional communicator and collaborator, capable of building trust with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- You have strong business and operational management skills, including experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and project management.
- You demonstrate strong industry acumen in the digital marketing, advertising, and/or media landscape.
- You are skilled in customer relationship management and solution-oriented approaches, with a focus on delivering value and ensuring customer retention.
- Direct experience with Google Marketing Platform tools (like Google Analytics, Campaign Manager 360, Display & Video 360, or Search Ads 360).
- A keen understanding of AI applications and how they can enhance productivity and customer solutions.
You shouldn’t apply if:
- You are looking for a purely individual contributor role.
- You prefer to focus only on customer delivery or only on people management (this role is a player-coach).
- You are uncomfortable managing team performance, profitability, and operational details.
Logistics:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Minimal travel may be required for team meetings or key customer visits.
- We offer flexible work options to suit your preferences and lifestyle. You can choose to work from our office located in Cincinnati, or opt for a hybrid model. Additionally, for those who prefer remote work, we offer the opportunity to work 100% remotely, but prefer you reside in one of the following states: Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Kentucky, Nebraska, Virginia, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, or Washington.
