About this Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer – Automation to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks that ensure the reliability and performance of our Saas solution. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in automation, cloud technologies, and databases, with a passion for delivering high-quality software at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Develop scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, PyTest, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure test coverage across microservices and cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Validate and query data across SQL and NoSQL databases for test data setup and troubleshooting.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar frameworks.
- Advocate for testability, quality, and engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
You could be a great fit if:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- You have 5+ years of experience in test automation for web, API, or cloud-based systems.
- You have proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- You have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- You have a strong understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar) and the ability to write SQL.
- You have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
- You have a solid understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and SDLC.
- You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- You have strong attention to detail with a passion for continuous improvement.
Bonus:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and test environments in the cloud.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus).
