Embedded Software Engineer

FortifyIQ is an exciting cyber security start-up company based in the US, founded 4 years ago by a successful entrepreneur. The FortifyIQ team has a vast knowledge of software and hardware development, cryptography algorithms, semiconductors, and cutting-edge hardware and software hacking methods.
At FortifyIQ, our mission is to advance maximum security against side-channel and fault-injection attacks across the computing spectrum. We accomplish this by providing a variety of side-channel and fault-injection attack-resistant IP cores and SW libraries, and by offering a pre-silicon security evaluation toolset. We offer software tools for chip designers and system integrators, allowing them to select ICs and design their own side-channel attack-resistant cryptographic IP cores—all without producing chips in silicon, or as FPGAs.
And now, we’re looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with a passion for computer security to join our small but highly skilled team!
Requirements:
- Proficiency in programming languages and familiarity with Rust is an advantage
3+ years of embedded development C/C++ experience
- Knowledge of microcontrollers and microprocessors
- Experience with programming in assembly language is an advantage
- Ability to work with hardware
- Understanding of operating systems
- Communication and collaboration skills
- BS / MS in computer engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
- Intermediate level of technical English
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing low-level embedded software
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software integration into hardware design
- Developing and maintaining software documentation
- Code review
