Engineering Manager

At INGENIOUS.BUILD, we are looking for a talented Engineering Manager who is passionate about writing code and excited to lead two teams of engineers. This person should embrace Servant Leadership and be passionate about empowering their team to grow and succeed. The Engineering Manager should also have excellent programming skills and a deep passion for developing large applications, as well as good soft skills

In this position, you will: 

  • Guiding two teams of engineers 
  • Collaborate with your teams to plan, build, and deliver world-class software
  • Refactor, optimize and improve the existing codebase
  • Estimate, organize, and prioritize resources to ensure timely project delivery
  • Conduct performance reviews, interview candidates, and oversee onboarding of new hires
  • Use your voice to help shape your personal growth, team, department, and company
  • Use OOP, DDD principles, and best practices
  • Software Used: PHP / Laravel, REST, Git, Docker, PostgreSQL

Skills and Experience needed or preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with SCRUM
  • Experience with modular or microservice systems 
  • Experience with the latest technologies (PHP 8.3+, Laravel 10+, or Symfony)
  • Experience with building enterprise-scale SaaS apps like CRM, CMS, and ERP.
  • Familiarity with OOP, DDD principles, Design Patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like PHPUnit and testing strategies.
