Principal Medical Writer (PMW)

The PMW will be a part of our largest medical affairs and publications oncology account. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of bringing new treatment to patients in need.

This role sits within a global team that supports our client across regions. You will utilise your MedComms agency experience to coordinate with our SVP, Scientific and senior staff to ensure consistency and pull through of strategy and data across deliverables. Responsibilities include collaborating with team members in other regions to drive content development and actively contribute on key projects to provide seamless experience that meets client expectations.
Having strong scientific and therapeutic understanding with several years’ experience of working in an agency environment, the position holder provides a consultancy service to pharmaceutical industry clients and assures the scientific accuracy of medical communication and education projects on their behalf. Engaging with client services and editorial teams to exploit organic and new business growth opportunities is a key responsibility.

Key experience requirements:

Demonstrable medical education and medical communications agency experience including providing strategic counsel, developing and implementing medical education and communication plans
Track record of building “trusted advisor” consultancy relationships with clients and healthcare professionals
Excellent research and analytical abilities; able to place scientific and clinical data in therapeutic and market context
Ability to critically review project work for scientific accuracy and integrity and to provide constructive feedback to medical writing staff
Evidence of high-level strategic input to new business proposals and pitch development
