Group Commercial Finance Business Partner- Cashflow & Working Capital

Purpose of the Role

Partnering closely with senior leaders across the business, including the Head of FP&A, Group CFO and Divisional CFOs, you will provide insight-led challenge, influence strategic decisions, and help drive sustainable growth across a complex, international organisation.

The role sits within Group FP&A and plays a central role in the planning, forecasting, and performance management of the Group. With regular exposure to the Group CFO, Deputy CFO, Divisional CFOs, and Head of Tax and Treasury, the role contributes directly to strategic planning, cashflow optimisation, and executive decision-making.

You will report into the Group FP&A Manager and is based in our Citywest office on a hybrid arrangement – 3 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecast reports, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely data to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reporting, with a strong focus on cashflow performance, variance analysis, and actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Own and drive initiatives to improve cashflow forecasting accuracy and working capital performance, supporting the delivery of stronger free cashflow outcomes across the Group.
  • Partner closely with the Treasury team to deliver and review the rolling three-month cashflow outlook.
  • Involved in the strategic process, including process planning, result consolidation, scenario analysis, and delivering insights to senior management.
  • Identify tools and processes to enhance decision-making, supported by the Group FP&A Manager, while contributing to ad hoc projects as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA), with a minimum of 3 years post qualification industry experience ideally in FP&A or a Group Function role.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to analyse complex financial information and translate it into clear, actionable insights that influence decision-making at senior level.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining robust financial models, forecasts, and analyses, with a strong focus on cashflow, working capital, and performance drivers.
  • Proactive, improvement-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to identify, design, and implement process and reporting enhancements that add tangible business value.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage, challenge, and influence senior finance and non-finance leaders across the organisation.
  • Advanced systems capability, with experience working in complex financial systems environments; proficiency in Oracle and Power BI is highly advantageous.
  • Prior Experience with cashflow highly advantageous.
