People Services Team Leader
As the People Services Team Leader, you will deliver an excellent people experience by ensuring the provision of high quality, efficient administrative, transactional and advisory services across the employee life cycle. You will ensure services are delivered in an accurate, timely and efficient manner and in full compliance with all legislative requirements and company policies. This role is responsible for executing service level agreements, driving continuous improvement, and the ongoing engagement, training, and development of team members.
This a remote role, with a preference for East/Central time zones
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of People Services professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of new and existing team members
- Provide day-to-day guidance, feedback, and support to ensure team success and engagement
- Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting, coaching, and development planning
Service Delivery & Operations
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of People Services transactions across onboarding, scheduling, employee lifecycle events, and workforce administration
- Maintain and monitor service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring consistently high-quality employee experiences
- Act as an escalation point for complex employee inquiries and operational issues
- Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and data integrity standards
Process Improvement & Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with HR stakeholders and business leaders to identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiencies
- Support the growth and maturity of the People Services function through process optimization and standardization
- Contribute to the design and rollout of new processes, tools, and ways of working
Systems & Tools
- Utilize HR systems such as Workday, Greenhouse and ServiceNow to manage cases, workflows, and reporting
- Support system-related training and adoption within the team
- Partner with HRIS and other teams to support enhancements and process changes
Project & Change Management
- Balance day-to-day operational leadership with project-based work
- Support or lead People Services projects, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication
- Train team members on new processes, tools, and updates as the function evolves
What Do You Bring To The Role?
Essential
- Previous HR experience leading a team to provide HR administration and transactional support.
- Previous experience providing first-line HR support and guidance to employees/managers.
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of employment
- The ability to adapt quickly to changing
- Methodical and organized with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise a busy and varied workload.
- Detail-oriented, responsive with a customer service minded mentality is a
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop strong, positive & productive relationships.
- Supports an environment that promotes customer service, teamwork and
- Excellent team player who can work flexibly and manage a team workload to meet business requirements.
- Ability to work with all levels of the
- Proficient working with HR systems, cloud based, preferably Workday and proficient in Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint as well as Greenhouse Onboarding and Recruiting.
- Resilience and tenacity to see things through to
- Initiative and drive to continuously identify ‘better ways’ of working to improve
efficiency.
Desirable:
- SHRM CP/PHR qualified or a willingness to work towards a relevant
- Previous experience of leading a HR Shared Service delivery
