About the role 

The ideal Account Executive will have a strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, audience targeting, and digital media activation. This individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by developing relationships with agencies, trading desks, and brands while educating clients on the value of InMarket's audience, identity, and measurement solutions.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and outgoing self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building new business opportunities. They possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, a consultative sales approach, and a passion for helping clients solve complex marketing challenges through data-driven solutions.

This role will partner closely with Sales Directors and cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across the programmatic ecosystem.

Your Daily Impact as an Account Executive

  • Prospect, prioritize, and qualify new business opportunities across agencies, trading desks, DSPs, and direct brands.
  • Generate a high volume of sales activities, including outreach, meetings, presentations, proposals, and follow-up communications.
  • Partner with Sales Directors to drive revenue growth and expand InMarket's presence within the programmatic advertising ecosystem.
  • Support the sales process by preparing proposals, audience recommendations, case studies, and strategic sales materials.
  • Manage RFPs, audience recommendations, and client requests for prospects and existing customers.
  • Develop a strong understanding of InMarket's audience, identity, activation, and measurement solutions and effectively communicate their value to clients.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across agencies, brands, DSPs, and data partners.
  • Take a data-driven approach to territory planning, pipeline management, and opportunity prioritization.
  • Collaborate with Product, Client Success, Sales Operations, and Marketing to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Stay current on industry trends, programmatic technologies, privacy developments, and changes across the advertising ecosystem.

Your Experience & Expertise

  • 1–4 years of sales experience in ad tech, martech, programmatic advertising, media, audience data, SaaS, or related industries.
  • Understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, audience activation, identity solutions, and digital media buying.
  • Experience working with agencies, trading desks, media partners, or advertisers 
  • Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and pipeline management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a passion for generating new business opportunities.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and communicate complex solutions to clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative sales approach.

Nice to Have’s

  • Experience selling into programmatic campaigns or audience-based advertising solutions.
  • Familiarity with identity, audience targeting, data onboarding, and measurement solutions.
  • Existing relationships with agencies, trading desks, or digital media stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the ad tech landscape, including DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, CDPs, and retail media networks.

For candidates in California, Colorado, and New York City, the Targeted Base Salary Range for this role is $90,000 -$100,000.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to work experience, specialized skills and training, performance in role, business needs, and job requirements. Base salary is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Base salary is just one component of InMarket’s total rewards package that also may include bonus, equity, and benefits.  Ask your recruiter for more information!
