System Support Technician

Insomniac is looking for its next System Support Technician. In this role you will be responsible for building/repairing PC Hardware and relocation support. First level support for all PC related problems and administration for both on-site and remote support. If this sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for, please read on.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Builds new PCs from component level.
  • Troubleshoots PC hardware problems and performs break/fix repairs, as necessary.
  • Provides re-location support including moving PC and PC related equipment as scheduled by studio.
  • Provides first level support for all PC related problems and escalates, as necessary. Issues may range from basic application support (Microsoft Windows, Office), to specific application support (Maya, internal tools), as well as PC Hardware issues/requests (upgrade PC, upgrade operating systems, upgrade peripherals) and network issues.
  • Provides remote support for employees outside of office. This includes administration of remote access tools and administration of remote applications such as Zoom, Teams, VPN, Duo, and others as required.
  • Helps setup, track, and deploy publisher’s proprietary hardware such as Development kits and Test kits.
  • Provides hardware inventory information through provided asset management software.
  • Other duties may be assigned

  • In-depth knowledge of component level computer hardware and detailed knowledge of Windows 10 setup and troubleshooting.

Work Environment: Due to the “hands on” nature of the required work, this position is expected to be performed on-premises at a full time or hybrid capacity. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Should be noted that will be subject to higher noise output in main server room. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$71,900 - $107,900 USD
